Genting
[now playing: lush995fm ]
Radio streaming is a godsend. I don't have a radio in my room and have been waiting for ages for lush to start online streaming. Now that they have, it's all that i'm listening to... =)
In any case, here's a note to tell one and all that i'm going to Genting for the rest of the week. Off to cool off... heh...
Highlights since the last post...
did nothing till sat, when i went shopping with qh, wenyao and Weiliang. Gown shopping is teh worst... and the fact that the theme for the Comms ball is Black&White makes it worse... I mean, this season is all about bright! happy! colors! and all i can wear is black or white... dammit! Oh well, found something from Warehouse, an off-white jersey material spag-ish dress with beaded details in the front...
Introduced them to my all-time favourite jap restaurant, OSHO at cuppage. It has the best ramen in town for the price you pay... The soup stock is rich... chashyu is succulent, and the noodles are just the right consistency. You just have to add corn and butter, it really hits the spot. Although you may gain a few pounds after that... =P Eating Osho ramen, you'll think Ajisen sux0r.
Their gyoza is fantastic too, and they "formulate" their own gyoza sauce! How cool is that?? Everyone i bring there got addicted and converted... muwahahahaha... The true test of an authentic jap restaurant is the sight of actual jap people sitting at the tables and eating happily... and there have been sightings of salarymen slurping their noodles away at the counter...
If you wanna try, it's at 5 Keok Rd #01-10 Cuppage Plaza. Tel: 67357068
Chasyu Ramen is 12, hightly rec is the Chilli Shoyu Ramen, with the fried rice set.
Actually, everything's good. Just see what ppl are eating and follow suit.
The shop itself looks like a slice of Japan. Decor and everything.
The Chef is a japanese guy, and you have to serve yourself water, another sign that says it's truly authentic.
Sunday was a grueling game of ultimate, although i didn't really play much. Our team won by a universal point of 17-16 against Chuckies, and i must say, we really have to step up our game.
Monday went for self-conditioning with Rachel, Nick and Eugene. Ran around the track abit, did some situps, and ended up doing a 5-man go-to drill for about, 20 mins? Seriously died after that. Came home, shagged, and died on the bed.
Today was just cleaning up, cooked dinner for the family (I'm becoming a housewife) and am in the process of conking out.
i officially now have 3.5 hours of sleep left before i leave for the 7hr bus ride to Genting.
I really miss Nigel. =(
